Went to the perinatal specialist yesterday and got a pretty thorough ultrasound to check out the stomach mass that was seen two weeks ago. The stomach mass is still there but it looked smaller to me, the doc said it looks like a 'normal variance' so I guess that's ok, eh? Whew! Big breath of relief but we still have to keep an eye on it later they said.
The funny/odd/new news is that all his measurements show that he's closer to 25 weeks than the 22 weeks we thought. He's in the 98th percentile and his current weight is 1.5 lbs with a projected birth weight of 10 lbs. Todd asked if I was sleeping with any Samoans because the doc asked our heights, and T at 5'6ish and me at 5'2ish.... yeah. The kid's femur is measuring 22 weeks, the only thing- head/chest/stomach etc. all at 25. So, the doc wants me taking the glucose screening thing before Dr. Guru had planned (about a month out). I'm gonna not eat any more gorditas from toxic hell, yes, I've fallen victim to the plexi-mexi these last couple of weeks.
Eating my fruit (pineapple, blueberries & strawberries) and yogurt with flax/pumpkin seed cereal, with a light vanilla soy milk for my breakfast as we type. Been drinking my water.... eating salads, I thought I was being pretty good. I guess I'll find out more next week. Back to my regular doc on the 1st.
Off to find some quilt fabric- Cindy's going to make the baby a quilt and since she's not sure what I like, she suggested I find the fabric I like and send it to her to make, way cool!

Nice to see this posting. Perhaps a little early for the actual delivery?
Things may slow down. You never know. Good to see a positive doctor appointment.
Love, D..
