Weekends.....SHHHHHH!

Been a bit since I've actually had the cycles and inclination to post, but here we are. Hmm, lets see. Almost 5 months later, lots to report!



* Both Wy and Wyatt are getting a bit more sleep, usually he goes down at 8pm, and is back up at 1(ish) for food, then back down for a couple more hours. Wy tries to get sleep in that area, and usually can. Last couple of days have been a bit rough, since we've had things to do and people over and such.

* The boy, he is growing! Its cool being a dad, but also fairly scary. I'm not what you would call the most tolerant person, so its been interesting to see how I deal with the screaming/crying/whining. I think I'm doing fairly well :) Wy is, of course, doing great with him, and is a wonderful mother.

* So much STUFF! Ok, see, Wy is going to TX for 10 days in October. Little does she know that I'm going to spend a few days throwing away all the crap in my office, so we can fit all of her stuff INTO my office, so we can de-clutter the rest of the house. Well, hopefully. I don't ever remember having this much stuff when I was growing up. I suppose that's due to Mom being a stickler for putting things away...and having 2 boys to keep up on chores! Still though, I am amazed at all the random shit that we accumulate over time. I need to work myself up to the 'if I've not used it in greater than 6 months, and it doesn't have sentimental value or was not a gift...its gone!' Sadly, I'm not quite there yet. BUT, Wy is going to TX...so, maybe by then....


* I've been busy as hell @ work. Non stop action around that place, coupled with some very late nights/early mornings with work + Wyatt. Upshot being that I'm not exactly getting a ton of sleep myself, and have managed to come down with shingles. Shingles, for those that don't know, is the 'later stage' of chicken pox, though teenagers can get it as well. It hurts like hell, and can last a fair while(months). Mine, happily, is going away since we caught it early, but it still hurts like hell. So that's been a treat, especially keeping Wyatt away from it, so it's a matter of fairly constant handwashing and keeping them covered. They're on my side, so easy enough to keep bandaged and have a shirt on all the time. Still, not enjoyable. Lesson here being : Todd needs a little less stress in his life, I'll let you all know how that goes.

* What else. Oh, the driving thing. Meh. Such a hassle. One, the eye doc never bothered putting in the order for my cool little scope, and given the current state of the economy, I don't want to buy a new car. So....we'll let is sit a bit longer. Been hitching in with my buddies (mike and mike) and, of course, Wy. Not been too much trouble the past few months, and work has been just crazy enough that I'm able to get stuff done in the morning and night, but be IN the office a couple hours during the day. Wonders of technology and all that crap :)

* Selling some music gear and other random stuff, and buying a new keyboard. Now, I'd decided to NOT stick my last keyboard because I didn't actually know how to play it effectively. It was a traditional 'synthesizer', i.e. it made pretty sounds. The new one I am looking it is an actual 'workstation', which means it makes pretty sounds, but also records them internally, AND you can record other things to it. Historically I've avoided these types of things because the displays on them are laughable. This one, however, has an 8.5 in. wide LCD, which I'm all about. More on this later, but I'm buying this thing soon and selling stuff to cover the cost. I figure I need an outlet that is creative, and fairly quiet :) Craiglist and QC classifieds, here I come!


* Been playing about some on facebook. Finding all sorts of my old friends, some of which I've not seen or spoken to in almost 20 years. Which is a little scary, and a lot sad. Has it really been that long, I ask? Well, yeah, in some cases it has. Marty and Kara and Sarah and Jeremy and Ryan and Kelly and Kelley and Lori and and ... wow. Even got Mom to get a facebook account, yay me! Time flies I guess, though thats not really a good reason, but it's really all I have :\


More soon. You'll note I've changed the layout a bit, things moved about it, new toys added, etc. Potentially more of the same coming, we'll see what tools we have to play with here.
