more appliance woes...

yeah, the last couple of days have been nightmarish- everything that could go wrong has.


yesterday morning, the delivery guys come to deliver both the stove and the dishwasher. they also removed the old stove. (dishwasher install/remove is for today- saturday) if anyone's seen pics of our place or been at our place, you know only those skinny folks can really fit between our size huge fridge and the cabinet. so the two guys who were just here to deliver stove/dishwasher and install stove did more than that...


me, realizing the spacing issues that the pre-measure guys didn't seem to realize, brought the delivery guys in before they unloaded the new apps. i asked, how ya gonna fit the stove out/in? he said, you gonna have to move the fridge, we don't do that. oh yeah, and we won't hook up your stove. really? we were told for $160 you would. nope, we're not electricians and don't do hardwires. of course. while i get the water turned off and the neighbor dude to help move the fridge, delivery guys decide to help a little white girl out and move it. 'we're not supposed to, grunt' with the strap thing they throw under the size huge fridge, they move it and snap a water line in the process. son of a bitch!


so the fridge is out of the way, water is under the floor boards, old stove is out, new stove is sitting on floor, huge hole in our countertop where the stove is supposed to be. we put the fridge back but the water turned off to the fridge is also attached to the kitchen sink- so no cold water there until the fridge line gets fixed.


we go talk to the store manager at worst buy, he's sympathetic and goes out of our way to make us happy. the stove thing, cannot happen b/c they only do plugs (CA code supposedly) fine, we have our elec. guy coming later today to do it.... they've submitted a trouble ticket to fix our fridge (oh yeah, did i mention we got the fridge from the same store 3 years ago, no probs, that's why we went back but yikes!!)... so our line will get fixed sometime in the next 2-3 weeks.

i'm sure there's more but let's fast forward to today, sat.... the guys to remove/install the dishwasher were to come sometime between 10 and 2... at 11:30 they come and we start to move the fridge again... the other guy and t open the dishwasher (been in a box this whole time) and it's damaged. yep, big freakin ding in the door! so i call worst buy and say hi! so they're coming wednesday to remove two dishwashers and install a new one.


right now, we have a dishwasher and a stove on our floor that we can't use, our water/ice in our fridge we can't use and a sink full of dishes b/c i thought they were ripping that out. and we had pizza last night b/c i didn't have a freakin' stove to cook on. all i can really say is grrrrrr!!!! wash the dishes in the old dishwasher and see what's microwavable in case our electrician friend can't get the stove connected which, with our luck so far is gonna be the case.... more later from t i'm sure.
